2 Ways To Deal With Mold In Your Bathroom

The last place that you want to have mold is in your bathroom, the place where you go to get clean. You want your bathroom to be a nice and clean space for you and your family. If you spot mold or mildew growing in your bathroom, you want to deal with it right away so that the issue doesn't spread and get worse.

Bleach & Baking Soda

A simple way to get rid of mold is with some bleach, baking soda, and liquid soap. You are going to want to mix together hot water, baking soda, and dish soap together. Mix these ingredients together until you have a nice paste.

Take the paste and apply it to the mold. Allow the paste to sit for a while, then scrub away at it. This should help remove most of the mold.

Then, mix together two parts water to one part bleach and put this mixture in a spray bottle. Spray this mixture onto the area where the mold was. Allow this mixture to sit in place for a while and then hit the area with a scrub brush. Rinse the area clean and repeat this process until the mold is gone.

White Vinegar

Another way to get rid of mold is by using full-strength vinegar on the mold. Do not dilute the vinegar at all. The acid in the vinegar will help kill the mold. Put the vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the solution directly onto the moldy area. Let the solution sit for at least an hour and keep the air circulating in the bathroom in the meantime. Then, use some hot water and a towel to clean off the surface.

Clean your bathroom on a regular basis with a diluted vinegar solution. To make it smell better, you can even add some essential oils to the mixture. This is a great natural way to stop mold from coming back in the first place.

You can also spray vinegar on areas where you know mold likes to grow and just let it sit. Pay attention to the areas where you clean mold from and treat these areas every week with a vinegar solution. This will help prevent mold from growing in the first place.

If you have mold growing in your bathroom, you can deal with it using dish soap, water, baking soda and bleach, or some straightforward white vinegar. Both of these methods are just as effective at killing mold as more chemically strong methods. If the mold in your bathroom has spread and gotten out of control, though, you are going to want to call in a professional to help you with the mold removal.

About Me

Choosing To Create A Better Home

I have always been one of those people who are really interested in making my home a better place, which is why I started looking into repair and restoration in the first place. I began thinking carefully about what I could do to make my home better, and before I knew it, things had really taken off. I started my project by working hard to rip out the ugly tile in my kitchen, and then I started focusing on repainting my entire home. It was really interesting to see how the entire space brightened up once I made those changes, and I am still grateful I started. Check out this blog for more information on repair.
